A Mormon podcaster from Utah has died after crashing his car while not wearing a seatbelt, hours after posting a video discussing the afterlife. Chandler David Hendry, 27, ran a red light while driving westbound on Timpanogos Highway in Lehi and collided with two other vehicles at an intersection; he was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other serious injuries were reported in the crash.

Hendry was known for his podcast Restored Truth, which discussed the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and helped prepare young members for missionary trips, and had almost 50,000 Instagram followers. He was returning from a religious conference in Lehi when the crash occurred, and had been preparing for his own mission. His family, including his wife AnaLynn, have paid tribute to him and set up a fundraiser to cover funeral costs, which had raised nearly $84,000 of a $110,000 target.
