Prime Video announced the November 4 premiere date for its Muhammad Ali biographical series 'The Greatest' during a presentation at the Essence Festival of Culture. The limited eight-episode limited series will explore defining moments across the boxing legend's life and career both inside and outside the ring, featuring performances from Jaalen Best in the lead role alongside supporting cast members Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, Kai Parham, and Michael Ealy.

Developed by creator and showrunner Ben Watkins, the series marks the first officially authorized scripted biography of Muhammad Ali and benefits from executive producer involvement by Lonnie Ali, his widow. The project brings together multiple production companies including Blue Monday Productions, Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society, Authentic Studios, Roc Nation, and Polygram Entertainment, representing a substantial collaborative effort to bring Ali's legacy to television audiences.
