A court has heard allegations that musician Sab Cox raped a date after they met on Bumble and spent New Year’s Eve together in north London. Cox denies the charge, saying the sex was consensual; the case centres on conflicting accounts of what happened after an argument on a bus.

The prosecution alleges Cox became aggressive, initiated sex at the complainant’s bedsit despite repeated requests to stop, and later acknowledged having done something wrong. The court also heard that Cox left for Drayton Park station, where they allegedly jumped on the tracks, while the complainant contacted police; evidence included statements from both parties and the complainant’s mother.
