Missouri authorities are investigating the disappearance of Leo Lindeman, 73, and his wife Katherine, 74, from their rural home near Anderson. They were last seen on 15 September and are believed to have disappeared the following day; their small white dog, Itty Bitty, is also missing. Relatives have appealed for information, while the sheriff says the case remains a mystery with few leads.

The couple were formally reported missing on 24 September. Investigators searched their home under warrant, dusted for fingerprints and collected electronics and trace evidence, while searches of the surrounding area involved family members, police, drones and search dogs. About 15 acres were searched without finding the couple or evidence pointing to their whereabouts, and authorities have asked anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office.
