Nas, Jeremy Pope, Ashlee Simpson and More Toast Krug’s New Champagne-and-Sound Experience at L.A.’s Larrabee Studios
Krug is launching “The Art of Blending Krug & Sound”, an immersive Los Angeles experience pairing Champagne tastings with live music creation. From 28–30 September at Larrabee Studios, guests’ memories, emotions and reactions to each pour will be transformed in real time into original compositions, making the event a collaborative exploration of how taste and sound influence one another.
Fourteen-time Grammy-winning engineer Manny Marroquin will lead the sessions with producers Scott Tibbs, Nick Rosen and Mike Bennett. The programme features Krug 2013, several Grande Cuvée editions and Krug Rosé, alongside a multi-course dinner by VERSE chef Oscar Torres; a VIP preview included Nas, Jeremy Pope and other celebrities, while the public sessions offer limited access to the normally private Studio 6. The collaboration will continue with a month-long Krug pairing at nearby restaurants VERSE and Mensano.
