## Key points

- Naya Yeira has released her biggest EP so far.
- *almost there* explores repeating patterns and trying to break them.
- The London-recorded project blends alt-soul and alt-R&B.

## Summary

Naya Yeira has released her new EP, *almost there*, her largest body of work to date. Recorded in London with Sean Hamilton, it draws on alt-soul and alt-R&B to present an autobiographical account of feeling stuck in familiar patterns and trying to change.

The focus single, “spiders”, showcases Yeira’s lyrics, while the production foregrounds her clear, glassy vocals. She describes the EP as following a cycle of awareness, denial, breaking old habits and starting again, reflecting the uncertainty many people experience in their twenties.
