NBC's upcoming multi-camera comedy "Newlyweds" has added three series regulars — Emma Meisel, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio and Bill O'Neill — joining leads Téa Leoni and Tim Daly, Variety has reported. The casting fills out the ensemble for a show that carries some weight for NBC, as it is one of only two new comedies the network has picked up for the 2026-2027 broadcast season, alongside the midseason single-camera series "Sunset P.I."

The series follows a later-in-life romance between a free-spirited woman (Leoni) and a buttoned-up professor (Daly) who marry impulsively after a whirlwind courtship. Meisel and Diaz-Silverio will play Poppy and Lolo, both children of Leoni's character, while O'Neill plays Arvid, an assistant to Daly's character at the University of Oslo's philosophy department. Executive producer Jamie Lee Curtis will also appear in a recurring guest role, with Gail Lerner writing and executive producing alongside the Tannenbaum Company's Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, Curtis, Scott Schwartz and Lionsgate Television; Pam Fryman directed the pilot. "Newlyweds" is set to premiere this autumn on NBC.
