CBS has added four new series regulars to its forthcoming franchise entry "NCIS: New York", with Jennifer Beals, Jacqueline Byers, Shane Harper and Devin Druid all joining the cast. The signings matter because they flesh out the ensemble around previously announced leads LL Cool J and Scott Caan, signalling that the latest spin-off is moving steadily towards production as CBS continues to expand its long-running NCIS brand.

The series sees LL Cool J reprise Special Agent Sam Hanna, whom he played for 14 seasons on "NCIS: Los Angeles", as the character returns to his native New York to help lead a new field-office team. Beals plays field-office director Robyn Wells, Byers plays Agent Addison "Addy" Ross, Harper plays Agent Wyatt Hill and Druid plays tech specialist Sean Sullivan. The pilot was written by R. Scott Gemmill, with Byron Balasco serving as showrunner, and the show is produced by CBS Studios. It joins an active franchise that includes the flagship "NCIS", due for a 24th season, alongside "NCIS: Origins" and "NCIS: Sydney".
