A Florida couple has been arrested after a neighbour's home security camera captured them hitting, kicking and slamming their two French bulldogs against a fence. Charolette Dellinger and David Neely, both 57, were taken into custody by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office following the incident, which occurred shortly after National Dog Day and prompted anger from neighbours who witnessed the abuse.

Neighbour Annabel Morris recorded the incident on her phone after hearing a commotion and calling animal services, only later discovering her own security camera had also captured the abuse. Both dogs have since been removed from the property and are being cared for by Santa Rosa County Animal Services, which confirmed they had been assessed by vets. The couple were released on Saturday after posting a combined $15,000 bond, and face prosecution as the case remains an active criminal investigation. A sheriff's official said the county has seen a rise in animal cruelty cases in recent months.
