Netflix has greenlit a three-part documentary series exploring the life and career of Matthew Perry, the beloved Friends actor who died in October 2023. Titled 'The One About Matthew Perry,' the series arrives October 27 and brings together intimate perspectives from those closest to Perry, most notably his sister Mia Perry Bowick, whose voice anchors the project.

Directed by Mary Robertson, known for the acclaimed 'Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,' the documentary marks the first comprehensive biographical account constructed entirely from testimonies by people in Perry's inner circle. Produced through Maxine Productions and Sony Pictures Television, the series draws on previously unpublished materials to chronicle Perry's ascent to fame and his personal struggles throughout his career.
