Netflix has announced *The Conjuring: Unspoken*, a horror game for its service that uses a phone as a controller and launches exclusively on 13 October. It brings the film franchise into an interactive story, with players investigating a reportedly haunted English inn.
Players take the role of demonologist Francesca Noakes and use an electromagnetic field reader, infrared camera and spirit box to search for clues, while dialogue choices shape the story. Supermassive Games, known for *Until Dawn* and *The Quarry*, developed the game; Netflix says viewers need not have seen the films, though familiar characters appear. It follows the launch of *Unhinged* in June, another Netflix horror game.

Bringing established film franchises into gaming allows companies to engage fans in new ways and keep these universes active across different media. This demonstrates how entertainment is increasingly expected to exist across television, film, and interactive formats simultaneously.
