## Summary

Netflix is reviving British sitcom The Inbetweeners with a third film that will reunite the original cast and creators. The news matters to fans of the series, whose cringe-driven humour and story of teenage insecurity helped it become a cult favourite.

The Channel 4 show ran for three seasons from 2008 to 2010 and was followed by two films. It centres on four school friends, played by Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison, whose attempts to fit in and impress others repeatedly end in embarrassment. The article presents the show’s mix of awkward comedy and recognisable friendship as a reason it remains suited to binge-watching.
