The ABC music drama Nashville, which starred the late Hayden Panettiere alongside Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Maisy Stella and Eric Close, is set to leave Netflix on 15 September. The show, which ran for six seasons and 124 episodes between 2012 and 2018, has spent the past year streaming on Netflix and is regarded as a hidden gem for its unusually detailed portrayal of the country music industry, covering record deals, songwriting, touring and Nashville institutions such as the Grand Ole Opry and the Bluebird Cafe.

Beyond its television run, the series generated more than 200 original songs released commercially and later inspired a stage adaptation. Viewers wanting to continue watching after it departs Netflix will still be able to do so, as the show remains available to stream for free on Pluto TV.
