Netflix has ordered “Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery”, a sci-fi spinoff of “Manifest” led by the original series’ creative team. The new show follows amnesiac passengers after a mysterious plane crash-landing in Denver, as they work with a social worker and Homeland Security agent to avert a catastrophe; it extends a franchise that found major international success after Netflix revived it.

Original “Manifest” creator Jeff Rake will co-create and co-showrun the series with Margaret Easley and Laura Putney, while Warner Bros. Television produces. Netflix announced the order on 28 August at 8:28 a.m., referencing Flight 828 from the original show; Netflix says all four seasons have received more than 130 million views since early 2023, with its final season reaching number one in more than 90 tracked countries.
