## Summary

Netflix has ordered a half-hour series adapting Curtis Sittenfeld’s 2005 novel *Prep*, about a scholarship student finding her place at an elite New England boarding school. The project is led by Nicole Taylor, whose credits include *One Day*, and comes from Gloria Sanchez Productions.

The series will follow Lee Fiora as she navigates friendship, romance and class among wealthy classmates at Ault. Taylor is writer and showrunner, with Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Alix Taylor and Sittenfeld among the executive producers; a writers’ room is due to open in January. An earlier HBO adaptation did not proceed, and Netflix says its YA titles have drawn more than 10.4 billion global views since the first half of 2023.
