Netflix's Head of UCAN Scripted Series, Jinny Howe, has spoken about the streamer's slate in an interview tied to its 111 Emmy nominations, highlighting the strong performance of I Will Find You, its first American adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel. Starring Sam Worthington, the thriller drew 74.1 million views in 18 days and is on track to enter Netflix's Top 10 most popular English series list, reinforcing the value of the streamer's prolific partnership with Coben, which has so far yielded 13 adaptations across multiple countries with more in development.

Howe also played down the so-called "sophomore slump", after several titles — including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Beef and A Man On the Inside — saw second-season opening-week viewership fall by more than 55%. She argued that premiere-week comparisons miss the fuller picture of catalogue viewing, noting shows such as Bridgerton have grown, and that the affected series have been renewed regardless. She confirmed the long-running Virgin River is filming its eighth season with no firm end date, and addressed the high-profile cancellation of the costly, Duffer Brothers-produced The Boroughs, which earned strong reviews but soft viewership.
