## Summary

The article argues that Netflix’s *Dead to Me* deserves more attention as a dark comedy, praising its mix of humour, secrets and emotional complexity. At its centre is the friendship between a grieving widow and a seemingly optimistic stranger, a bond that continues to drive the story beyond its initial mystery.

Christina Applegate plays Jen, whose husband was killed in a hit-and-run, while Linda Cardellini plays Judy, who knows more about his death than she first reveals.
