## Key points

- *Haunted Hotel* will return for a third season.
- The renewal follows the completion of its second season.
- The show has avoided Netflix’s pattern of reversed renewals and early cancellations.

## Summary

Netflix has renewed *Haunted Hotel* for a third season, shortly after the animated comedy completed its second. The decision matters because the series joins the shows that have escaped a pattern of Netflix renewals later being reversed or promising stories being cancelled before they can conclude.

The series follows single mother Katherine and her children as they try to save the Undervale Hotel, which is home to hundreds of ghosts, including Katherine’s late brother Nathan. It blends horror parody with a story about a family rebuilding their lives; its growing fanbase has also shared art and video edits. The article cites *Inside Job*, whose second-season renewal was rescinded six months after it was announced, as an example of the streaming uncertainty *Haunted Hotel* has avoided.
