Netflix’s New Sci-Fi Thriller Officially Releases this Week
Netflix is set to release a new sci-fi thriller this week, directed by Louis Leterrier, whose schedule opened up while the eleventh and final Fast and Furious film remains in early production. The film stars Past Lives breakout Greta Lee and recent Oscar nominee Wagner Moura as a couple trapped in their home with their children while a mysterious threat looms outside, a premise described as combining domestic drama with survival horror. It marks Leterrier's first cinema release since Fast X and continues his ongoing collaboration with the streamer.
Leterrier has previously worked with Netflix on projects including the stop-motion series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the heist drama Lupin, and the action comedy The Takedown. Alongside this release, he also directed the Apple TV film Liminal, starring Vanessa Kirby and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, which began filming in May. He remains attached to direct the final Fast and Furious instalment, with star Vin Diesel recently confirming that the script has been completed.
