Neurosis performed live for the first time in seven years on Saturday, 25 July, headlining the Fire in the Mountains festival in East Glacier, Montana. The show marked the debut of the band's revamped lineup, with Aaron Turner (known for ISIS, SUMAC and Old Man Gloom) taking over on vocals and guitar from longtime frontman Scott Kelly, and was notable as a rare return to the stage for one of heavy music's most influential experimental acts.

The set leaned heavily on the band's newest album, An Undying Love for a Burning World, released in 2026 and named atop Consequence's mid-year list of the best albums of the year so far, while also drawing on career highlights from records including Enemy of the Sun, Times of Grace, A Sun That Never Sets and Given to the Rising. Fan footage showed guitarist Steve Von Till opening with a ferocious rendition of "We Are Torn Wide Open," with reviewers praising the band's dynamic control and Turner's apparent chemistry with the group. Neurosis are now preparing for three further live dates this year in support of the new album.
