## Key points

- Convicted killer Murdoch died without revealing where Falconio's body lay.
- Unseen police footage shows him refusing detectives' requests.
- Falconio's remains have never been found, decades on.

## Summary

Previously unseen police footage has emerged showing Bradley Murdoch, the man convicted of murdering British backpacker Peter Falconio, refusing to tell detectives where the body was hidden during the weeks before his own death. The case, which centres on an attack in the Australian Outback around 25 years ago, remains significant because Falconio's remains have never been recovered despite Murdoch's conviction, leaving his family without the closure of a burial. The footage underscores that Murdoch took the secret of the body's location to his grave.

The available text of the article is largely taken up by unrelated Daily Mail site navigation and other headlines, so the finer details are not contained within it, including precisely when the footage was recorded, the circumstances of Murdoch's death and what was said in full. What can be established is that the killing occurred in the Outback around a quarter of a century ago, that Murdoch was convicted of the murder, and that his refusal to cooperate persisted right up to the final weeks of his life.
