## Summary

Marvel Studios has unveiled a new two-minute trailer for Avengers: Doomsday at Disney’s D23 convention, making footage previously shown at San Diego Comic-Con available to a much wider audience. The trailer presents Doctor Doom as an exceptionally powerful threat to heroes from multiple Marvel universes, positioning the film as a major effort to revive the franchise’s cultural impact and box-office strength.

Reed Richards and Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four separately recognise Doom’s danger, while Thor confronts him and is easily defeated; Doom also revives damaged Sentinels into a small army. Robert Downey Jr. plays Doom in an ensemble spanning MCU, Fantastic Four and former X-Men film characters, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo; the film is due in cinemas on 18 December, with Avengers: Secret Wars planned for 2027.
