The cast of the beloved sitcom New Girl will reunite publicly for the first time in years at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, a Los Angeles charity gala taking place on 10 October 2026. Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris, Hannah Simone and Damon Wayans Jr. will be honoured with the Rising Phoenix Award in support of Chrysalis, a Southern California nonprofit that helps disadvantaged individuals find meaningful employment. The reunion comes amid ongoing fan speculation about a possible full revival of the show, giving the appearance added significance for its large fanbase.

Greenfield will host the evening, while Banc of California chairman and CEO Jared Wolff will separately receive the Corporate Trailblazer Award. Chrysalis president and CEO Mark Loranger said the honourees reflect the charity's themes of resilience and second chances, drawing a parallel between the nonprofit's work and New Girl's seven seasons of characters navigating fresh starts. This year's honorary co-chairs include Greenfield, Betsy Beers, Rebecca Gayheart Dane, and several others, with sponsors such as The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation, TruAmerica and US Bank backing the event.
