## Key points

- tvOS 27.2 adds screen saver Shuffle and photo selection from iPhone.
- FaceTime gains easier joining, interpreters and live captions.
- The free update supports Apple TV 4K models from 2021 onwards.

## Summary

Apple’s tvOS 27.2 update adds several modest improvements to Apple TV, including more flexible screen savers, easier FaceTime access and better ways to manage profiles and photos. The changes make shared devices more convenient and add accessibility options, though the update does not bring a major redesign.

A new Shuffle setting rotates between Aerials, Memories, Portraits and Snoopy screen savers, while iPhone users can choose specific photos without sharing their full library. FaceTime links make joining calls easier, and calls can include third-party sign language interpreters and live captions. The remote now appears in the Find My app on supported older models; some films and programmes also offer ASL or BSL, and iPhone and iPad profiles sync with Apple TV. The free update is available for Apple TV 4K models from 2021 onwards, although some features require the newest A19 model.
