A 69-year-old man was killed in his apartment in New York after being stabbed by his own son. Edward Brown called 911 during the attack, screaming for help as his 33-year-old son Sage Arias-Brown allegedly stabbed him. The case has drawn attention due to the dramatic nature of the emergency call and the tragic circumstances of the killing.

The incident occurred on 7 September at Brown's apartment in Mastic, New York. Investigators believe Sage entered his father's home around 12.30am and inflicted approximately 40 stab wounds to the torso, chest and neck. Sage was arrested roughly half a mile from the scene and has been arraigned on one count of second-degree murder; if convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison, with his next court appearance scheduled for 21 October.
