Newark airport shuttle bus slams into concrete barrier, injuring 13

Fox News · 4 hours ago

An employee shuttle bus crashed into a concrete barrier at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey in the early hours of Monday morning, leaving 13 people injured. The incident forced the closure of a key departures roadway at Terminal B and caused disruption for travellers as authorities worked to clear the scene, though officials say none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The crash occurred shortly after 3am on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway, with three people seriously injured and ten others suffering minor injuries. Footage showed the bus's front end crumpled against the barrier with shattered glass at the scene, while the Port Authority Police Department advised departing Terminal B passengers to use the Level 2 drop-off instead. The injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
