Newest LE SSERAFIM Overwatch skins include multiple newer heroes, and players seem thrilled thus far

Destructoid · 3 hours ago

K-pop group LE SSERAFIM has unveiled its third collaboration with Overwatch, revealing five new in-game skins that have generated an enthusiastic response from players. The skins arrive ahead of BlizzCon, timed to coincide with the return of Blizzard's in-person convention, and follow the group's earlier collaborations with the game. The pairing highlights the significant overlap between K-pop fandom and Overwatch's player base, with reaction to the character selection proving largely positive this time round.

The new skins will go on sale in-game on 12 September, the day after LE SSERAFIM release their new single "Made My Night" and the day BlizzCon's opening ceremony takes place; the group will also perform live at the convention on the Sunday, echoing their 2023 BlizzCon debut. The heroes receiving skins are Mizuki, Freja, D.Va, Anran, Sierra and Moira, with four of the six being characters introduced this year, while Freja and Moira are popular figures who rarely receive skins. Not all fans are satisfied, however, as newer hero Shion missed out on a skin, and the collaboration will also feature Omnic Gwishin enemies, in-game challenges and other tie-in content.
