Newlyweds celebrate with thousands of Pitbull fans
Newlyweds Kym Sutcliffe and Tyler Scarisbrick, from St Helens, spent their wedding day at Lytham Festival watching American rapper Pitbull headline, describing their 15-hour celebration as "a bit mad". The couple married at a church in Warrington on Sunday before heading to the festival and later a bar, in an unconventional day that has drawn attention as a light-hearted human interest story.
The pair had been engaged for only about six weeks and brought their plans forward hoping an unwell relative could attend, though that family member's health worsened and they could not make it, leaving the day "bittersweet". Kym wore a second, second-hand dress for the festival alongside a bald cap and goatee to emulate Pitbull, and the couple ended the night watching England beat Mexico in the World Cup last 16, not getting home until 5 or 6am. They are now honeymooning in the Cotswolds.
