Adam Sandler’s marriage advice to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce revealed by coach

NME · 2 months ago

NFL coach Andy Reid has revealed the marriage advice that actor Adam Sandler gave Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce while officiating their wedding, one of the few details to emerge from the tightly guarded event. The pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs player married at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday 3 July, with much of the ceremony, including photographs, kept private. Reid, who praised Sandler for doing a "phenomenal job", told CNN that the comedian urged the couple to "kiss every chance you have, every day", a sentiment the coach described as "touching" in its simplicity.

The star-studded ceremony featured performances by Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks, with Swift's brother Austin serving as her "Man of Honour" and Travis's brother Jason Kelce acting as Best Man, in place of traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Guests reportedly included Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, Julianne Moore and Graham Norton, among many others. Reid also reflected on watching the couple's relationship grow since they began dating in summer 2023, calling their bond a "sincere love". Earlier in the week, Swift and Kelce were said to have donated $26million (£19.5million) to 20 charities across the United States.
