Nick Kroll’s annual Comedy vs Cancer benefit has raised more than $10 million for blood cancer research and treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The event, which combines high-profile comedy with fundraising, has become a regular fixture in the comedy industry and channels all proceeds directly to the hospital’s work.

The fundraiser grew from Kroll’s sister-in-law Niccole’s diagnosis with non-Hodgkin lymphoma around 15 years ago, when she became friends with fellow patient Jennifer Rogers. Initially supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, it formally partnered with Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2019 and has sold out annually at Jazz at Lincoln Center. This year’s show raised $2.7 million, with previous performers including John Mulaney, Tina Fey, Steve Martin and John Oliver.
