Nicky Jam has released “La Foto”, a collaboration with Cuban singer El Shadow, whom he discovered after seeing an Instagram post promoting the track. The release highlights how fan-led social-media campaigns can create opportunities for emerging artists to work with established performers.

El Shadow, whose real name is Raudel Gómez Hernández, posted a clip in February and asked followers to tag Nicky Jam; the reggaeton star replied within hours and agreed to feature. Released via Plus Media and EMM, the song mixes acoustic guitar and afrobeats, while its remotely filmed video combines El Shadow’s scenes from Camagüey, Cuba, with Nicky Jam’s footage from Miami.
