    Nicolas Cage’s ‘True Detective’ Season 5 Officially Recruits an Indiana Jones Star

    Antonio Banderas has joined Nicolas Cage in the fifth season of HBO’s crime anthology True Detective, giving the two actors their first pairing in the series. Cage will play detective Henry Logan, while Banderas takes the role of Rai Garcia; their casting adds two prominent film stars to a show known for changing casts each season.

    The new season will move from Alaska to Jamaica Bay, New York, with Issa López returning to lead it. Production is due to begin in 2027, and Cage and Banderas will also serve as executive producers. Banderas’s credits include The Mask of Zorro, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
