Nicole Kidman said her appearance in Troye Sivan’s recent “She’s the Best” music video was a spontaneous decision, made immediately after the singer asked her to take part. The cameo highlights the pair’s long-standing friendship and follows their earlier work together, adding a high-profile appearance to the launch of Sivan’s forthcoming album campaign.

Kidman and Sivan, both Australian, previously co-starred in the 2018 film Boy Erased. In the New York-set video, Sivan dances with and serenades Kidman in a bar before appearing in drag; the song is the lead single from his fourth album, She’s the Best, due for release on 9 October through EMI Records.
