## Key points

- A Steam bug lists *Nier: Automata* at 366GB.
- The game previously needed about 50GB.
- The update adds support for three languages.

## Summary

A Steam update has caused *Nier: Automata*’s required installation space to jump from about 50GB to 366GB, apparently because the game’s files are being counted again for each DLC. The unexpectedly large requirement is preventing some players from installing or updating the game and has prompted negative reviews.

The update adds support for Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, but the game’s Steam store page still lists 50GB as the space needed. Testing cited in the article confirmed the 366GB requirement, though some users report it has already been corrected for them. Square Enix and Platinum Games had not acknowledged the issue, and a fix’s timing was unclear.
