Nigel Farage Documentary ‘Where Does the Money Come From?’ Set at U.K. Broadcaster 5 as Parliamentary Standards Watchdog Reopens Finance Probe

Variety · 2 hours ago

A one-hour documentary examining Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s finances will air on broadcaster 5 on 22 August, as the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner resumes an inquiry into an alleged undeclared gift. The programme matters because it comes amid heightened scrutiny of Farage’s outside earnings and financial backers, at a time when his political influence could affect national politics.

ITN Productions says the documentary will review publicly available information on more than £2 million in reported outside income since Farage entered Parliament in 2024, including broadcasting, speaking and property earnings. The resumed inquiry concerns a reported £5 million gift from Thailand-based crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne; Farage’s resignation triggered a by-election and temporarily halted it, but it restarted after he won back the Clacton seat on 13 August with 22,239 votes, compared with 9,455 for Count Binface.
