Alongside the internal turmoil, Farage unveiled a migration pact with French National Rally leader Jordan Bardella, under which the Royal Navy would return Channel migrants to France, part of Reform's pledge to end the crisis within 100 days of taking power. Farage also promised to declare a "national emergency" on day one in government, pushing Parliament to sit through summer to pass a raft of new legislation, and hinted at forthcoming tax cut plans.
