## Key points

- Nine men deny sexual offences against a woman allegedly drugged by her husband.
- Prosecutors say the abuse lasted more than 20 years.
- The court heard footage was shared online and further abuse encouraged.

## Summary

Prosecutors told a Manchester court that nine men took part in the rape and sexual abuse of a woman who had been drugged unconscious by her husband. They are accused of conspiring over several years to abuse her, share footage and encourage further offences; all deny the charges.

The court heard that the husband’s abuse began more than 20 years ago and that, from 2023, he invited other men to the couple’s home while his wife was unconscious. Prosecutor Louise Oakley KC said he used alcohol and drugs without the woman’s knowledge, and that footage was shared online, sometimes while the abuse was taking place. The trial is at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
