Ninja’s microwave air fryer could be the fix for soggy reheated pizza
SharkNinja has launched its first-ever microwave, the Ninja Crispi Microwave, which doubles as an air fryer to prevent reheated food from turning soggy. After microwaving food, users can switch to a superheated air mode for a crispy finish, potentially allowing the appliance to replace two separate kitchen devices. It went on sale on 16 July 2026 through SharkNinja's online store, priced at $449.
The 1,000-watt microwave has a flatbed interior rather than a turntable, which Ninja says provides 40% more usable cooking space, enough for two bags of popcorn or four bowls of food at once, and is claimed to be easier to clean. It includes standard presets such as popcorn, defrost, frozen dinner and butter softening, alongside air fryer settings including air bake, max crisp and air broil, which heat air up to 450°F. The air fryer function uses a 5.5-quart glass container, said to hold an 8-pound chicken, with two lids—one for storage and a vented one for steaming vegetables.
