No Dogs in Space returns after two-year hiatus with Punk 2.0
The music-history podcast *No Dogs in Space* is returning with its fourth season, *Punk 2.0*, after a gap of more than two years. Hosts Carolina Hidalgo and Marcus Parks are focusing again on punk, where they believe their strongest expertise and most compelling stories lie; the opening episodes explore New York Dolls.
The delay followed several abandoned plans, including an eight-month attempt to cover Washington DC’s punk scene, which became too broad and raised concerns about Bad Brains’ homophobia. Some research will still appear in a forthcoming two-part series on Link Wray. The show’s appeal remains its hosts’ intensely detailed tangents, including explorations of Mott the Hoople and drag performer Jackie Curtis.
