## Summary

Norway’s tourism board has responded to Donald Trump calling the country a “sh*thouse” by highlighting its scenic public toilets. The tongue-in-cheek showcase turns his insult into a tourism promotion, while drawing attention to Norway’s architect-designed facilities along its scenic routes.

Visit Norway featured toilets across 18 routes, including a wave-shaped facility in Helgeland, a solar-powered loo at the Utsikten viewpoint and a triangular “golden toilet” on Senja Island. Trump made his remarks at a Michigan rally after not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize; Norway’s foreign minister stressed that the Nobel Committee is independent and said the country values its relationship with the US.
