Nothing’s new flagship Headphone 1 Pro put you in the studio
Nothing’s Headphone 1 Pro is a £399 flagship over-ear model with active noise cancellation, app-based sound controls and tactile buttons. Its unusual Flat EQ switch is designed to let studio professionals hear audio with less processing, developed with London’s Metropolis Studios; the review says the headphones offer a lot, though a flat response may sound less appealing for everyday listening.
The headphones use three drivers per side: a 40mm bass driver, a midrange driver and a small solid-state xMEMS driver for higher frequencies. They support LDAC and wired or wireless high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz, plus USB-C wired lossless audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, and can send or receive Auracast broadcasts. The reviewer preferred adjusting the treble through the app’s parametric EQ for ordinary listening.
