A man filmed behaving obnoxiously at a bakery in Norwood, Massachusetts, has been publicly identified after the shop's owner shared surveillance footage in an attempt to shame him. Charles Donners, 60, was recorded chewing with his mouth open, scattering food across the floor and hurling his food container off the table at the SPoT! breakfast shop on 28 June. The case matters chiefly as an example of a business owner turning to social media to name a customer when police declined to treat the incident as a criminal matter.

According to owner Perry Makarios, the outburst began after Donners's wait for food stretched from 15 to 20 minutes, and he described the customer as "just a bully". Makarios said he has banned Donners from the premises and released the footage after being told the behaviour was a civil rather than criminal issue. The article emphasises Donners's apparent wealth, noting he runs his own plumbing business, has been married to wife Kim since 1992, lives in an $821,000 home with three cars, and owns a $1.5m rental property.
