A new documentary, Don't Look Back In Anger, premiered at the Venice Film Festival, charting Oasis's 2025 reunion tour but largely skirting round the causes of the band's bitter 15-year split. The BBC's review praises the film as a warm, emotionally engaging portrait of Liam and Noel Gallagher's rapprochement, but criticises it for failing to explain what actually caused their infamous 2009 backstage bust-up in Paris or how the brothers eventually reconciled.

Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace and scripted by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the film shows rehearsal tensions, including Liam's grumpiness and his newfound sobriety and discipline for the tour, before building to an emotional reunion gig at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. The review notes the film glosses over key unanswered questions, such as who instigated the reconciliation and how the feud affected the wider Gallagher family, while excelling instead at capturing the raw euphoria and emotion of fans at the comeback shows. A second leg of the tour is reportedly being planned for next year.
