Oasis Reunion Doc Gets First Trailer
Developing story first seen 2 hours ago
A first trailer has been released for "Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger," a documentary chronicling the Gallagher brothers' preparation for their 2025 reunion tour. The film matters as a companion piece to one of the biggest music comebacks in years, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how Liam and Noel Gallagher attempted to reconcile after their notoriously bitter split, ahead of a tour intended to reshape the band's legacy.
The Hulu Original, made with Disney+, is due in US cinemas on 11 September before a later streaming release, with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight credited as the film's creator and Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directing. The trailer mixes reunion tour concert footage with voiceovers revisiting the band's turbulent history, including Liam's remarks calling the split "unacceptable," referencing the infamous 2009 backstage incident at the Rock en Seine festival when he swung a guitar at Noel following an argument.

Oasis, formed in Manchester in 1991, became one of Britain's biggest bands of the 1990s, built around brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who wrote the songs, sang and played guitar respectively. The band split abruptly in 2009 after years of on-off feuding, with Noel walking out following a backstage altercation with Liam. In 2025, after 16 years apart, the brothers reunited for a tour that became one of the most talked-about comebacks in recent music history.
The new documentary sits alongside that reunion, focusing on how Liam and Noel prepared for the tour and attempted to patch up their long-standing rift. It comes from Hulu, working with Disney+, with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight attached and directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace at the helm.
Because the Gallaghers' feud was so public and long-running, often played out in interviews and the press, this film is being seen as a rare inside look at the personal side of the split and the reconciliation behind one of pop culture's most anticipated reunions.
