Actor Stephen Kalyn, who broke out this year in Prime Video's "Off Campus", has joined the cast of "The Housemaid's Secret", the Paul Feig-directed sequel to "The Housemaid". Kalyn will play a character called Brock, joining an ensemble that includes Sydney Sweeney, Kirsten Dunst and returning star Michele Morrone. The casting news underlines Kalyn's rising profile following his breakthrough television role and adds another notable name to an already starry film adaptation of Freida McFadden's best-selling novel.

The sequel follows Millie, played by Sweeney, as she takes a new housekeeping job for a mysterious, unseen employer, uncovering darker secrets behind a locked door. Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the original book, returns to write the screenplay, while Todd Lieberman, Laura Fischer, Feig and Sweeney are among the producers. Kalyn, 28 and Canadian, plays Dean Di Laurentis in "Off Campus", a series based on Elle Kennedy's novels that has drawn 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days, making it Prime Video's third-biggest series launch in that timeframe.
