An Ohio woman has been sentenced to up to five and a half years in prison after dragging a DoorDash driver to his death during a road rage incident that followed a minor collision in a supermarket car park. Danielle Henry pleaded guilty last month to aggravated vehicular homicide over the death of 38-year-old Ibrahim Diakite, in a case that has drawn attention for the extreme escalation from a parking-lot fender-bender to a fatal dragging.

The collision occurred in October 2025 in a Kroger car park in Westerville, Ohio, while Henry was driving a stolen vehicle after having just shoplifted. When Henry fled the scene, Diakite followed and confronted her at a stoplight, climbing onto the bonnet of her car in an attempt to stop her leaving. Henry drove off, accelerating to around 45mph before swerving, which threw Diakite under the vehicle; he was dragged for an estimated 300 to 600 feet and run over before being pronounced dead in hospital. Henry, who had several outstanding warrants at the time, must serve a minimum of four years and has had her driving licence permanently revoked.
