Ol' Dirty Bastard, the late Wu-Tang Clan member born Russell Tyrone Jones, was honoured on Saturday 25 July 2026 with a street renaming in his native Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. A stretch of Putnam Avenue has been designated "ODB Jones Way", with the ceremony led by Council Member Chi Ossé, who championed the initiative, and attended by the rapper's family and friends.

The unveiling took place alongside a mural recreating the cover of his 1995 debut album Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, with his track "Brooklyn Zoo" played as the new sign was revealed. His brother Ramsey Jones and mother Cherry Jones spoke of the family's ties to the block, and Wu-Tang Clan marked the occasion on Instagram. ODB died in 2004 aged 35, and his legacy continues through initiatives such as the 2023 mayoral proclamation of Ol' Dirty Bastard Day, while his son Barsun Unique Jones (Young Dirty Bastard) is set to perform on Wu-Tang Clan's upcoming "Final Chamber Tour".
