## Summary

Police in the Philippines are investigating Thomas Markle Senior, 82, over allegations that he possessed child sexual abuse material. Meghan Markle, who has been estranged from her father since 2018, said she was deeply distressed and was thinking of any children who may have been harmed. Reporter Guy Adams discussed the case on a podcast, describing Meghan as a possible victim of the family dispute and praising her response.

The material was reportedly found in boxes shipped to Cebu from a home Markle shared with his son in Mexico. His son, Thomas Junior, said he discovered photographs and DVDs while looking for an old phone and reported them to police; Markle denies the allegations. Meghan’s half-sister Samantha disputes her brother’s account and has accused him of seeking media attention, while Adams said the relatives’ past dealings with the press make their motives difficult to assess.
