The hit anime *Solo Leveling* is enjoying a resurgence on streaming services following the announcement of a new film adaptation. The upcoming movie, titled *Solo Leveling — Beyond the System — The Movie*, has been greenlit, and its concept trailer suggested it will effectively serve as the show's third season, continuing the story of protagonist Sung Jinwoo. Although no release date has been confirmed, the renewed attention has prompted fans to revisit the original anime, boosting its viewing figures.

Sony has described the film as a "thrilling continuation of Sung Jinwoo's story after the last season," with the character questioning the power he has acquired. The anime, based on the Webtoon by Chugong, currently sits at number seven on Crunchyroll's Top 10 Overall chart in the United States, between *Skeleton Knight in Another World* and *Feng Shui Master & The Pregnant Ghost*. Two seasons totalling 25 episodes and a compilation film have been released so far, and the series won numerous awards in 2025, being named the most popular anime of that year by Sony and Kakao Entertainment. The wider franchise is also expanding, with a live-action adaptation still in development at Netflix.
