Daniel Toutounji, 37, an alleged associate of the Comanchero motorcycle gang, was arrested at Sydney International Airport after returning to Australia following about eight years abroad. The arrest ends a long-running police search and brings him before the courts to face serious organised-crime and drug allegations.

Police say the case began with a 2018 raid on a Randwick flat, where officers allegedly found one kilogram of cocaine, about A$95,000 in cash, five firearms and drug-related equipment. Toutounji had been wanted under a 2022 warrant and is charged with offences including large commercial drug supply, directing a criminal group, running a drug premises and dealing with crime proceeds; the allegations have not been tested in court.
